Location: Vienna, Austria

Job Summary:

Join us in an exciting opportunity as Head of Design, where you will become an integral part of an extraordinary team of developers dedicated to shaping the future of software at Ketryx. In this dynamic role, you will contribute to a small, highly motivated team, actively leading a team of UI/UX designers and steering projects to successful completion. Your expertise will define product strategy and create high-quality designs, interactions, and prototypes.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape, assuming ownership of end-to-end UI/UX design projects and work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure a high-quality implementation. With a self-starting attitude and great leadership skills, you will be at the forefront of tackling complex problems and driving innovation, also creating UX flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals yourself. Embracing clear workflows and high quality, you'll contribute to Ketryx's commitment to reinventing how medical device manufacturers bring life-saving innovations to market.

This hybrid role requires at least three days per week on-site in Vienna. If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a global team, you could be a part of our mission to create safe and reliable medical software!

About You:

The ideal candidate is an experienced team lead UI/UX designer who possesses a deep passion for software - particularly in designing exceptional user experiences, a skill at managing the topics of design, product, and business, as well as a profound desire to contribute to enhancing patient treatments through technological innovation. You will guide the UX vision, direction, and strategy while fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, user-centered solutions that align with business objectives and user needs. With excellent spoken and written English communication skills, you thrive in collaborative environments where exchanging ideas is paramount.

As a self-starter, you relish the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced startup environment, taking ownership of feature improvements as a team lead while also remaining actively involved in hands-on design work. You will work closely with engineers, product teams, and executive leadership to ensure design solutions align with the overall product vision, technical feasibility, and business goals.

Ideally you will be currently located in Vienna or able to relocate quickly. Unfortunately, we are unable to support non-EU citizens for the position at this time.
