The Role
The Head of dApp Engineering owns the end-to-end engineering delivery of all MANTRA-built applications. This includes our regulated MANTRA Finance suite (DEX and Vaults) and our permissionless ecosystem products (MANTRA Zone, MANTRA Scan, and public utilities).
This is a senior leadership role with direct accountability for execution, quality, and velocity across multiple engineering squads. The role reports directly to the CTO.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the engineering teams responsible for all MANTRA-built dApps across regulated and permissionless product lines.
- Establish strong engineering processes, standards, code quality expectations, and SDLC discipline across all squads.
- Manage and mentor front-end engineers, Solidity engineers, and full-stack developers.
- Work with Product to translate roadmap items into well-defined engineering execution plans with clear milestones.
- Review and guide Solidity smart contract architecture for DEX, vaults, and related systems.
- Ensure high-quality, secure, audited smart contract delivery.
- Coordinate with backend, indexing, and subgraph teams to ensure seamless integration with chain data and infrastructure.
- Build, scale, and manage multiple engineering squads internally and via external partners.
- Implement best practices for automated testing, CI/CD, security, and monitoring across all dApps.
- Work closely with the CTO on long-term architecture, technical strategy, and team scaling.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in blockchain or Web3.
- Strong leadership experience managing engineering teams or multi-squad structures.
- Deep dApp development experience spanning UX, front-end frameworks, smart contracts, and integrations.
- Proven Solidity experience with deployed contracts in production.
- Experience building or maintaining a DEX is a strong plus.
- Experience with on-chain or off-chain Vault frameworks is a plus.
- Experience with regulated financial products is a plus.
- Ability to operate in high-velocity environments with tight execution expectations.
- Strong alignment with security, testing, and reliability best practices.
- Comfortable working with distributed teams across time zones.
