We're looking for an exceptional commercial leader to join us as Head of Corporate Sales, leading our Corporate Sales function and shaping the future of our corporate customer strategy. This is a high-profile leadership role responsible for driving performance across our global corporate portfolio, strengthening strategic partnerships and delivering sustainable commercial growth.
In a nutshell
Reporting to the VP Sales, you will lead a team of eight Corporate Sales professionals. You will define and deliver the Corporate Sales strategy, maximise value from our corporate customer base and identify opportunities for growth. Working closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Network Planning, Loyalty, Customer, Finance and Operations teams, you will influence decision making across the business and drive commercial performance through collaboration.
You will also play a key role in shaping how Virgin Atlantic shows up for corporate customers, bringing fresh thinking, challenging established ways of working and helping evolve our corporate proposition.
Day to day
As Head of Corporate Sales, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of Virgin Atlantic's Corporate Sales strategy.
- Drive commercial performance and deliver revenue and share targets across a global corporate portfolio.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Corporate Sales team
- Use data, insights and market intelligence to identify opportunities and shape strategy for Virgin Atlantic and Joint venture partners.
- Build and further develop relationships with senior stakeholders across Virgin Atlantic, our Joint Ventures and SkyTeam partners.
- Lead contract negotiation and renewal activity across key corporate accounts.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, processes and ways of working.
- Represent Virgin Atlantic with key customers, partners and industry stakeholders.
Contribute as a senior leader within the wider Sales leadership team.
About You
We are looking for a strategic and commercially astute leader who combines strong people leadership with the ability and experience to influence and drive change.
In addition to the above, we'd love for our successful Head of Corporate Sales to demonstrate the following:
- Significant experience leading Corporate Sales, Account Management or similar teams.
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and revenue performance.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.
- Ability to use data and insight to support decision making and recommendations.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.
- Strong negotiation and contract management experience.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Confidence to challenge constructively and drive continuous improvement.
Ability to operate effectively within a matrix environment.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience working within partnerships, alliances or joint ventures.
- Exposure to large corporate customer programmes and complex commercial environments.
- GDS Distribution/Airline knowledge experience
