The Opportunity
Vanguard is seeking a senior technology leader to shape the future of Corporate Finance. As Head of Corporate Finance Systems, you will own and evolve the platforms supporting FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and enterprise strategic services—partnering directly with the most senior Finance executives to modernize how finance operates at scale.
This is a highly visible role at the center of a multi‑year transformation, re‑imagining finance processes, advancing automation and analytics, implementing AI solutions, and delivering resilient, cloud‑based platforms that support one of the world’s largest asset managers.
Key Responsibilities
Set and deliver a forward‑looking strategy for Corporate Finance systems, maximizing Oracle / Oracle Cloud and AWS capabilities.
Lead data, analytics, and AI enablement for Corporate Finance, embedding emerging technologies into core processes in a controlled, value‑driven way.
Own the end‑to‑end Corporate Finance application portfolio, including design, build, integration, vendor solutions, and lifecycle management.
Partner with Finance leaders to translate complex business requirements into clear technology outcomes, including disciplined buy‑vs‑build decisions.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and risk standards; own issue resolution, root‑cause remediation, and system resilience.
Lead, develop, and scale the GIFS Corporate Finance team, fostering a culture of accountable delivery and responsible innovation.
Own budget management, prioritization, and multi‑year strategic planning for Corporate Finance technology.
Represent GIFS and Finance technology priorities in executive forums, steering committees, and enterprise governance bodies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in senior engineering, product, or technology leadership roles.
Proven record leading teams that deliver and operate complex, mission‑critical platforms for Corporate Finance.
Deep expertise across Corporate Finance domains (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury) with the credibility to challenge senior stakeholders and drive better outcomes.
Strong ability to manage and influence across senior business, product, and technology leaders.
Financial services experience preferred but not required.
Exceptional relationship‑building and communication skills, with a consistent focus on measurable results.
