Make Farren the brand athletes trust.

Description

Overview: Make Farren the brand real athletes trust.

Every athlete has seen the post. The coaching cue that's slightly off. The "science-backed" claim no scientist would sign. The transformation photo where the lighting does the heavy lifting. They scroll past it, and they remember who posted it.

Farren can't be that brand. We won't be that brand. We're building the most personal coach you've ever had, and our content has to earn the same trust our coaching does.

About Farren

We're an early-stage, high-growth, AI-native startup on a mission to reshape the way people train, move, and feel. We believe fitness is the foundation for living well: physically, mentally, and emotionally. Farren is an AI-powered training platform that adapts to your schedule, your goals, your injuries, and your energy. We combine elite human coaching with adaptive AI to deliver structured weekly plans, real-time adjustments, and meaningful feedback. Our mission is to make elite-level coaching accessible, flexible, and built for longevity.

We're led by proven founders, have built a team with deep expertise from Whoop, TrainingPeaks, TrainHeroic, and Wahoo, and backed by top investors.

We're moving fast, and building to last.

The role

Social builds the following. Content builds the belief. Email keeps it.

You'll own the full story of Farren, from the first time someone sees us to their twelfth week of training. You'll set the content pillars, decide what ships, keep what works, and kill what doesn't. You'll own every automated email sequence we send. And you'll hold the standard that makes all of it work: every piece of Farren content should feel like it came from inside the sport, because it did.

You'll lead the content system across our Creative Director, Media Producers, and Social Manager, who reports to you, and you'll direct our contracted paid media team. The Creative Director owns how Farren looks and feels. You own what we make, who it's for, where it runs, and whether it's working.

This is a hands-on role. You'll write the copy, build the flows, read the data, and make the calls.

What you'll own

Pillars and the authenticity bar

  • Define Farren's content pillars and the guardrails for each: what we talk about, which coaches lead each topic, and which claims we never make.
  • Have final say on technical accuracy before anything ships, across organic, paid, and email.
  • Build a review loop with our Coach Collective so experts validate technical content, and document the red flags so the whole team can check its own work.

Full-funnel content

  • Map content to every stage of the journey: awareness, education and trust, conversion, and retention.
  • Find where people drop off, and create the content that closes the gap.
  • Brief the Creative Director and Media Producers, and write the core copy yourself.
  • Set priorities for coach collaborations, and partner with the Social Manager on channel execution.

Lifecycle

  • Own every automated email sequence: onboarding, activation, trial conversion, retention, and win-back.
  • Audit what exists today, fix what's inaccurate, and rebuild what isn't performing.
  • Build event-triggered flows based on how members actually use the product.
  • Work with Product so email and in-app coaching messages feel like one Farren, not two voices.

Performance

  • Define what "working" means at each funnel stage, and set clear keep and kill criteria.
  • Report on what's driving awareness, trust, signups, and retention, then act on it.
  • Brief our paid media partners on turning top organic and coach content into paid creative. Approve that creative against our guardrails, and feed paid learnings back into the strategy.

Coordination

  • Run the content calendar and production pipeline across creative, production, social, paid, and coaches. Build it so it runs without you pushing it every day.

What we're looking for

  • You've trained, competed, or coached seriously. Training is part of your life, not a passing interest. You can spot fake fitness content instantly and explain exactly what gives it away.
  • You have 5+ years in content strategy, lifecycle, or growth marketing, ideally in fitness, wellness, or consumer subscription.
  • You've built and run a full-funnel content strategy, and you know how the story changes at each stage.
  • You've built automated lifecycle flows in Customer.io, Klaviyo, Braze, or similar, and can show how they moved activation or retention.
  • You're comfortable making calls on directional data at small volumes, and disciplined about killing what doesn't work.
  • You write clearly, specifically, and like a human.
  • You are OBSESSED. You're insatiable, unshakable, and relentless in your desire to improve and drive improvement.
  • You can lead people who don't report to you, including a Creative Director and a collective of coaches with strong opinions.
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity. The strategy will evolve, and you'll be the one evolving it.
  • You're based in, or willing to relocate to, the Denver/Boulder area.
