Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and results-driven Head of Commercial to lead our energy sales division. This strategic role is responsible for overseeing the seamless supply of green energy to industrial customers, managing both classic electricity contracts and long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). You will also drive product development initiatives and explore cross-technology solutions such as battery storage.

As a key commercial leader, you will own the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the energy sales division, ensuring financial performance aligns with strategic goals. You will manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and technology partners, to deliver sustainable and scalable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Energy Sales Management:

  • Lead energy sales and distribution strategies for industrial clients.
  • Oversee classic electricity supply and long-term PPA contracts.

Product Development:

  • Identify and develop new commercial energy products and services.
  • Collaborate with technical and innovation teams to bring solutions to market.

P&L Ownership:

  • Manage the commercial division’s budget, revenue targets, and cost structures.
  • Ensure profitability and financial sustainability of energy sales operations.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in strategic partnerships, negotiations, and industry forums.

Customer Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Understand and address client-specific energy needs and challenges.

Market Insights:

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies.

Team Leadership:

  • Inspire and manage a team of commercial professionals.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation and results.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
  • Proven track record in energy sales, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
  • Deep understanding of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Solid grasp of energy markets and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and perform under pressure.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong understanding of industry and market trends.
  • Multilingual fluency is a plus, especially for international client engagement.
