How will you make an impact?


1. Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with overall company goals.

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, customer segments, and revenue streams.

  • Analyze industry trends and competitor activities to guide planning.

2. Lead Generation & Sales Enablement
  • Design and oversee lead generation campaigns and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to convert leads into long-term clients.

  • Set and track KPIs and sales pipeline metrics to measure performance and optimize efforts.

3. Partnership & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances.

  • Negotiate deals and contracts with clients, partners, and vendors.

  • Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and industry forums.

4. Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor the business development team except for the ITS industry, setting clear goals and expectations for each team member.

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to align messaging and objectives.

  • Foster a high-performance culture within the team.

5. Revenue Growth & Forecasting
  • Set revenue targets and drive initiatives to achieve them.

  • Forecast sales and revenue projections for budgeting and planning purposes.

  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across products or services.

6. Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
  • Report regularly to executive leadership on business development progress.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data.

  • Ensure transparency and alignment between departments.


What qualifications and skills will make you succeed in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business administration, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years’ experience working in Business Development, Sales, Technical Sales, Product Management, or Subject Matter Expert in sensors, technology hardware, robotics, or solution area 
  • 5+ years' experience leading a team.
  • Strong connection with major integrator/partner in the area, able to introduce the new technology to the field and partner with the major players.
  • Understand intelligent sensors, smart hardware, and solution market well, have clear plans on GTM strategy and business plan.
  • Good knowledge of existing technologies and products in the field, understand the customer’s pain point and how to resolve them with alternative solutions.
  • Strong communication skill and customer facing skill, ability to manage the customer programs and drive customer success.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability of driving results and closing deals.

What is the Pay Range?

$170,000-$220,000
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, annual base salary for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Seyond. You may also be eligible for the sales incentive plan and equity. In addition, our highly competitive benefits package is designed to support your success.
