Neurolabs is rewriting the playbook for retail execution with Visual AI. Our platform helps some of the world’s top CPG brands unlock real-time shelf visibility—without fragile audits or slow tools.
- We’ve just raised $7.8M in Series A funding led by Nauta, with follow-on from existing investors LAUNCHub, Lunar Ventures, and Techstart.
- Sifted named us the fasted growing deeptech company in the UK (2025).
We’re now hiring a Head of AI to help us push the frontier of Visual AI even further, bringing production-quality performance to everyday supermarket shelves—on mobile, on-device, and at scale.
What You’ll Do- Drive the roadmap for our applied computer vision models, from synthetic training to real-time inference—optimised for broad applicability across CPG use cases and retail environments
- Lead model development across detection and recognition tasks, ensuring robustness, low-latency performance, and consistent accuracy under varied shelf conditions
- Advance our synthetic data generation and training pipeline, scaling scenario diversity and improving generalisation through domain adaptation and robust pretraining strategies
- Collaborate with Product, Infra, and Customer teams to deliver adaptable, high-performance Visual AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into field workflows
- Mentor and grow a team of engineers working on scalable model architectures and automation systems
- Help design and deploy a highly generalisable large vision model (LVM) tailored for retail, balancing size, speed, and reliability across dynamic product and shelf configurations
- You’ve shipped machine learning models into production at scale—ideally on edge or mobile devices
- You have experience with synthetic data and large vision models (or are excited to dive in)
- You care deeply about practical impact, not just research novelty
- You translate big goals into clear technical direction, then lead by example—moving fast, collaborating well, and turning ideas into reliable systems through rapid iteration and accountability
Bonus if you have experience with:
- Building and leading high-performing teams
- Working in CPG, retail tech, or applied computer vision in the wild
- Inclusive and Supportive Culture - We’re building a team where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued—collaboration, psychological safety, and kindness are baked into how we work.
- Hybrid‑First Model - Strike the perfect balance: work from home or collaborate in our London office - whatever fuels your productivity and well‑being.
- Equity Share Options - Your hard work powers our mission - and you’ll share in the company’s success through equity ownership.
- Generous Time Off - Enjoy up to 34 days of annual leave and UK bank holidays to recharge, explore or just unwind.
- Annual Retreats & Team Workations - Once a year, we bring the team together at our company wide retreat or more regularly during our team "workation" to bond, innovate and refresh outside the office environment.
- All‑Inclusive Private Health - Our private medical cover includes mental health support, dental and optics, plus travel insurance (for both personal adventures and work trips).
- Pension Plan - We help you invest in your future with a competitive employer‑contributed pension scheme.

What We Do
Neurolabs is the "go-to" Computer Vision vendor for the CPG space, with access to a product catalogue of >100K SKUs.
We develop algorithms to visually interpret and understand the grocery & CPG world. Using images from cameras, our Synthetic Computer Vision (SCV) models accurately identify and classify objects of interest, helping computers “understand” what they “see”.
Our technology is universally applicable across the CPG lifecycle. We help our partners automate CPG object recognition tasks in physical stores, logistic centres or manufacturing plants.
Our approach substitutes the expensive and rare real-world data required to train Deep Learning algorithms, with synthetically generated data to provide massive low-cost data sets in a fraction of time.
Our technology empowers both small and large customers to implement state-of-the-art CV applications with minimal incremental resources and costs — no coding required, no tedious data labelling, no image gathering.
