The challenge

The Head of AEM Assets Engineering leads a team developing Adobe's AEM Asset Product Line, which includes Digital Asset Management (DAM), SaaS Brand Portal, and Dynamic Media. AEM Assets works with AEM, Adobe Marketing & Experience Cloud, and Adobe's Document and Creative Clouds.

The team will develop and implement the AEM Assets product, aiming to achieve outstanding market growth rates. This includes integrating Adobe's data and content platform to assist customers in managing, developing, and implementing effective experiences across devices. As a crucial part of Adobe Marketing Cloud, AEM Assets requires a leader to ensure its ongoing success and expansion. This role involves defining capabilities related to the content platform, such as access control, hierarchy, extensible content/metadata model, versioning, search, machine learning, and AI, bringing to bear Adobe Sensei.

What you’ll do

• Develop a strategic plan for the long-term evolution of AEM Assets to exceed market growth needs and contribute to Adobe’s platform efforts.
• Optimize development processes to ensure high value, efficiency, quality, and reliability.
• Drive customer success across AEM Asset Products in combination with other AEM and experience cloud products.
• Support Product Management and the field in finding efficient solutions to time-critical business needs.
• Serve as an inspiring leader in engineering and bring the best software practices to Adobe.
• Collaborate with product managers and experience designers to set delivery and experience roadmaps.
• Define and implement cloud-based capabilities to deliver on API promises of value, simplicity, usability, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Ensure product evolution meets current experience management needs and scales for future requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and standard methodologies in software development.
• Work with product management to set and update roadmaps and plan the development and delivery of AEM Assets at an enterprise level.
• Foster cooperation and coordination between matrixed teams to achieve AEM Asset’s strategic goals.
• Cultivate an engineering culture that supports innovation, creativity, and the delivery of high-quality products.
• Mentor leaders across the organization in leadership, management, and engineering standard methodologies.

What you need to succeed

• Proven track record of leading enterprise-level Customer Success using Products in combination with System Integrators in a high-growth, global, matrixed environment.
• Focus on improving customer value through the use of products and reducing manual labor.
• Passion for improving the customer experience with combined products.
• Demonstrated business insight through successful engagements with global, enterprise customers.
• Expertise in content-related technologies and industry standards.
• Ability to identify and incorporate industry trends and external innovations.
• Urgency and enthusiasm to drive the vision.
• Competence in product development and delivery.
• Critical thinking combined with efficient delivery for effective short-term and long-term results.
• Experience developing successful Content Management or Asset Management products.
• Success in leading and developing a distributed, cross-functional, globally dispersed engineering organization.
• Minimum of 10+ years of leadership and management experience in software product development and hosted/SaaS services.
• Degree in computer science or equivalent experience in business.
