Job Summary

Uphold is looking for a Head of Acquisition (EMEA) to join our Growth team and lead new customer acquisition across the region. This is an exciting senior opportunity where you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and play a key role in scaling customer growth at Uphold. Combining strong performance marketing expertise, data-driven decision-making and close collaboration with internal teams and agency partners, you will be responsible for driving acquisition at scale across multiple EMEA markets.

You will be responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end acquisition strategy, managing performance-led channels and working hands-on with media and creative agencies to deliver measurable growth. You will partner closely with Country Heads and local stakeholders to ensure acquisition strategies, media plans and creative executions are effectively localised, compliant with regional regulations, and aligned with local customer needs and product availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Defining and executing the EMEA customer acquisition strategy.
• Working with cross-functional and regional teams to drive growth and efficiency.
• Leading customer acquisition initiatives across paid social, search and performance channels.
• Managing media and creative agencies throughout planning, activation and optimisation.
• Owning paid social performance across platforms such as Meta, TikTok and X.
• Managing paid search campaigns across Google Search, App Campaigns and YouTube.
• Developing media plans, creative direction and testing roadmaps.
• Partnering with local market teams to ensure localisation and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborating with Product, Data and Analytics teams to optimise acquisition funnels.
• Managing acquisition budgets, forecasting and CAC targets across EMEA.
• Driving continuous experimentation and performance optimisation.
• Ensuring compliance with platform policies and regional regulations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Deep expertise in performance marketing and paid acquisition.
• Strong experience across paid social and paid search channels.
• Proven ability to scale customer acquisition efficiently across multiple markets.
• Strong commercial, analytical and data-driven mindset.
• Experience managing and optimising significant paid media budgets.
• Experience working with media and creative agencies.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into action.
• Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on growth and efficiency.
• Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills.
  

Bonus if you have:

• Experience in crypto; fintech or adjacent financial services experience is also valuable.
• Experience owning acquisition strategy across EMEA or other multi-market regions.
