We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer Identity to spearhead the design and development of scalable, secure identity services that power authentication and authorization across our applications and microservices. This senior role is critical to our organization’s mission to deliver robust, innovative identity and access management (IAM) solutions that protect user data and enable seamless, secure access. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in backend development with leadership capabilities to drive IAM initiatives, collaborate across diverse teams, and leverage cutting-edge technologies including generative AI tools to accelerate development and maintain high standards of quality and security.

• Lead Design & Development: Architect and build scalable, secure identity services for authentication and authorization, leveraging GenAI tools (e.g., Copilot) to generate robust C# and Node.js codebases, streamline microservices, and ensure maintainability.
• Drive Authentication Innovation: Spearhead initiatives for passwordless authentication, MFA, passkeys, and secure access to healthcare services, using GenAI to prototype and refine secure workflows.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with product managers, security engineers, and DevOps to deliver robust identity platforms that secure applications and microservices, using GenAI to automate integration tasks and documentation.
• Ensure Code Excellence: Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability in backend systems, utilizing GenAI for code reviews, optimization, and debugging to reduce development cycles by up to 3x.
• Integrate Modern Standards: Implement and enhance identity protocols (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML) with AI-assisted tooling to ensure compliance and security best practices.

• Proven IAM Expertise: 5+ years of experience building and maintaining secure identity solutions in production, with a focus on authentication and authorization systems.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Deep expertise in .NET and C# for building scalable backend services.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for microservices development.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure)

• GenAI Proficiency: Hands-on experience using GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate coding, generate secure code templates, and debug complex IAM systems.

• Security Passion: Demonstrated passion for authentication, authorization, and security best practices, with familiarity in modern identity standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML).

• Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional skills in working with cross-functional, remote teams, with clear documentation and communication enhanced by AI-driven workflows.

• Leadership: Experience leading technical initiatives in IAM, with a track record of delivering scalable, secure solutions in fast-paced environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Azure Active Directory or similar IAM platforms.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance (e.g., HIPAA) for secure data handling.
