At VAS, we develop technology that helps dairy operations use data and connected solutions to improve how they work. We are looking for a Hardware Product Implementation Specialist who enjoys being hands-on with hardware, solving technical problems in the field, and helping customers successfully bring new technology to life. In this role, you will lead customer hardware deployments from planning through installation, training, and post-go-live support.
This role is a great fit for someone who likes variety in their work and believes in delivering an excellent experience for every customer. One week you may be coordinating a deployment plan with a customer and electrical contractor, and the next you may be onsite installing equipment, troubleshooting connectivity, or helping a team get comfortable using a newly implemented system. You will be a key point of contact throughout the implementation process and will play an important role in ensuring customers have a smooth, successful experience.
What You’ll DoLead customer hardware deployment projects from planning through installation, testing, commissioning, and handoff.
Perform onsite installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems, network-connected devices, sensors, control systems, and related equipment.
Coordinate with customers, electricians, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects moving forward.
Conduct site assessments, confirm installation requirements, and identify potential risks before deployment.
Provide clear project updates, manage timelines, and help resolve issues as they arise.
Support customers after implementation through onsite and remote troubleshooting, follow-up visits, and issue resolution.
Document installation activities, configurations, customer communications, and support outcomes.
At least 2 years of experience in hardware installation, implementation, field services, technical deployment, or a related role.
Experience managing customer-facing technical projects from kickoff through completion.
Ability to read and interpret installation drawings, site plans, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Comfort working directly with electricians, contractors, facility managers, customers, and internal teams.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to stay calm and practical when solving technical issues in the field.
Clear communication skills and the ability to keep customers and stakeholders informed.
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
This role requires frequent domestic and international travel, generally 50% to 75%, based on customer needs and project schedules. The work includes time in customer facilities, field environments, and implementation sites, as well as remote coordination and support. Candidates should be comfortable lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 pounds, working indoors and outdoors, climbing ladders, and supporting installations in commercial, industrial, construction, and customer facility settings.
Why This RoleThis is an opportunity to own the customer implementation experience for hardware solutions that need to work reliably in real-world environments. You will combine technical execution, project coordination, customer partnership, and problem-solving in a role where your work is visible, practical, and directly tied to customer success.
If you enjoy hands-on technical work, take pride in keeping projects organized, and like building trusted relationships with customers and field partners, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact from installation through long-term support.
