Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, related field or Equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of professional experience in the field of information and technology.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Management/ data warehouse;
- 2 years hands on experience with Hadoop using Cloudera
- 5 years of Java experience
- 2 years of experience with Linux and database integration·
- Experience in multi-threaded application
- Experience with High Performance Computing and/or Grid Computing is a plus
- Experience with Data Virtualization Solutions is a plus
- Experience in SQL debugging skills
- Experience with UNIX scripting.
- Experience with NoSQL technologies is a plus
- Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task /change focus quickly.
- End-to-end Incident and Problem resolution for Hadoop multi-tenancy platform and respective Applications.
- Responsible to ensure that the applications met their required service levels
- Responsible to support process improvements to continuously improve the stability and performance of the applications.
- Identify system bottlenecks and opportunities for processing improvements
- Application wellness
- Prioritize workload, provide timely and accurate resolutions.
- Perform in-depth research and identify sources of production issues.
- Effectively perform root cause analysis of issues and report the outcome to business community and Management.
- Develop / utilize core support tools and processes to perform work while improving day-to-day practices for support team members with the goal of delivering service improvements to the business.
- Coordinate and work with the global production support team
- Feeling of personal accountability for all areas directly or indirectly supporting the business/service area for which they are responsible.
- Willingness to drive people on all sides of an issue to a common understanding and then drive them toward resolution.
- Should be able to clearly communicate ideas in technical or business terms with their peers across IT.
- Understands tasks and role, and does not need daily reassurances, yet maintains an open dialogue with all of the stakeholders.
