Description
A YMCA Day Camp Site Coordinator oversees daily camp operations, including planning activities, supervising staff, and ensuring safety, to foster a positive environment for children. They are responsible for staff training, managing logistics, and maintaining communication with parents. This role is generally a seasonal, leadership position focused on character development and safety. There is room to continue this role into the fall-spring 2026-2027.
- Program Leadership: Plans and executes developmentally appropriate activities while supervising staff performance, training, and mentoring.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensures adherence to YMCA, health department, and state regulations, including child abuse prevention protocols.
- Operations & Logistics: Manages daily schedules, check-in/check-out procedures, and maintains clean, safe facilities.
- Communication: Cultivates positive relationships with parents and addresses concerns professionally.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Typically requires experience working with children, often 18 years or older.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification. Certification offered during new hire process.
