Job Description
We are seeking an experienced developer with strong JSP and CSS expertise to work on the modernization of our trade finance platform's user interface. The ideal candidate will transform our legacy system into a vibrant, modern application while maintaining functionality and enhancing user experience.
Our client is a Swiss-headquartered software development and IT services company, supporting a global customer base through offices in Geneva, London, Singapore, and Houston. It offers digital network and workflow solutions that overcome the shortcomings of today’s trade finance ecosystem, accelerating efficiency gains, providing a benchmark data reference for the industry, and delivering best-in-class value to end users through four product lines.
Position – how you’ll contribute
- Revamp the existing JSP-based trade finance system with modern UI/UX principles.
- Work autonomously to implement design improvements even when specifications are incomplete
- Proactively identify opportunities for UI/UX enhancements and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand trade finance workflows and user needs.
- Maintain code quality and performance standards throughout the modernization process.
Qualifications
Expectations – the experience you need
- Proven experience with JSP development and advanced CSS implementation.
- Strong understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML, JavaScript).
- Experience with UI/UX design principles and modern web interfaces.
- Ability to work independently and make design decisions autonomously.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Experience in financial services or trade finance is a plus.
