The role
You will apply Google DeepMind’s cutting edge music technologies to create new products for music creators. These will help them explore the new creative opportunities that Artificial Intelligence offers, while influencing our music technology and product roadmaps.
To do this, you’ll engage deeply with professionals from the music industry, emerging artists and non-musicians to understand their needs and concerns, prototype and launch imaginative new tools, and represent Google DeepMind publicly.
Key responsibilities
- Own the Music AI Tools product roadmap
- Create a longer term roadmap for generative music products.
- Partner closely with teams across Google to understand, and investigate and identify new opportunities in this space.
- Work cross-functionally with internal and external domain experts.
- Represent generative music externally, especially to the creative sector.
About you
In order to set you up for success as in this role at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
- Deep technical expertise, comfortable going into the details of modern AI models with researchers.
- Strong track record of execution and delivery as a Product Manager
- Deep product thinking and experience initiating, launching and landing new products.
- Some background in music, either personally or professionally.
In addition, the following would be an advantage:
- A background in generative music
- Personal experience of creating or playing music
- Experience shipping music products and/or working with the music industry
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $214,000 - $318,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
