Tietoevry Tech Services Latvia is looking for a Group Accountant Latvia to strengthen our External Reporting and Accounting team.

Role description:

As a member of the External Reporting & Accounting team, You will be working with experienced colleagues making sure that the Group's interim and annual financial statements are prepared in a timely manner according to IFRS. In this role, you will be responsible for certain Group consolidation reporting, processes and tools. You will also be responsible for various accounting questions where you will support the business in IFRS related matters. Therefore, we expect you to have experience in IFRS as well as group consolidation in large listed entities.

We expect you to have:

• 5+ years of work experience in financial accounting (IFRS) and group consolidation
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or other related area and a recognized accounting qualification (CPA equivalent or ACCA)
• Understanding of group consolidation, tax reporting and ability to interpret and apply IFRS in various real-life cases
• Fluent spoken and written English (for working with foreign clients and colleagues)
• Solid IT skills​, knowledge of HFM and Workiva will be considered as an advantage
• Critical and analytical mindset, ability to research issues at a detailed level
• Responsible personality that is able to take initiative and ownership
• Willingness and interest in tackling complex issues, positive mindset towards challenges
• Very good cooperation skills as in this role you will collaborate with different teams and stakeholders e.g. finance operations teams in different countries, external advisors, auditors
• Proactive, can-do attitude and good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure during tight deadlines
• Interest in technology and digital ways of working
