Grounds - Frontier

Summary:

Under direction of Grounds Supervisor or other appropriate staff is responsible to perform a wide variety of grounds maintenance activities and related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Mow lawns using hand, power, or riding mower: trims and edges around walks, flower beds, walls, etc.
• Maintains landscape beds by planting, pruning, weeding, watering, fertilizing and mulching
• Prunes trees and shrubs for the purpose of preserving the grounds in a healthy, attractive and safe condition
• Prepare grounds for events scheduled by the resort and provide assistance to groups setting up for mass gathering events.
• Grade roads and apply dust-settling agents as needed
• Remove snow and ice from parking lots, walkways and steps
• Ability to operate snow making equipment and oversee the 3rd shift operation of snow guns and performing other tasks as assigned
• Blow, rake, mulch and clean up leaves in the spring and fall
• Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
• Execute all tasks in an efficient and timely manner

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in grounds keeping or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Good skill in the use of hand and power tools
• Ability to follow simple instructions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Required to be able to kneel, bend, walk, reach, lift, sit, stand, climb, balance and crawl
• Must be able to move 100 lbs
• Valid Driver’s license
