Join Us in Shaping the Future of Grid Operations

If you have deep hands-on experience in electric distribution or utility operations — and you're passionate about helping utilities solve complex operational challenges — we want to meet you.

We’re looking for a Grid Operations Industry Expert who can serve as a trusted advisor to our utility clients. This role is ideal for someone who brings operational credibility, understands the realities of running control centers, and can guide clients toward stronger, safer, and more effective operational performance.

Position Overview:

As a Grid Operations Industry Expert, you’ll work closely with utility leaders and operations teams to assess current practices, identify gaps, and guide clients toward improved operational workflows, decision-making, and workforce performance. You’ll leverage your system operations expertise to advise on future-state processes, operational standards, readiness strategies, and organizational best practices. While you may support the development or validation of training materials, this role is primarily consultative, focusing on client-facing problem-solving and operational improvement. This is an opportunity to influence how utilities operate, prepare their teams, and adapt to the evolving demands of the modern grid.

What You’ll Do:

Advise Utility Leaders
Provide expert guidance on operational challenges, workforce capabilities, and opportunities to improve reliability and system performance.

Evaluate Current-State Operations
Analyze processes, roles, and decision-making frameworks to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement.

Shape Future-State Solutions
Define and refine business processes, operational standards, and readiness strategies aligned with industry best practices and emerging grid needs.

Support Training & Readiness
Review training content, validate simulations, and ensure materials accurately reflect real-world operational practices.

Collaborate Across Teams
Partner with internal project teams and client SMEs to ensure operational insights inform project plans, assessments, and deliverables.

Build Long-Term Client Relationships
Act as a trusted partner, helping utilities enhance their operations through practical, experience-backed recommendations.

What You Bring

  • Strong experience in electric distribution, transmission, or utility control center operations
  • Ability to assess operational performance and provide practical, strategic recommendations
  • Knowledge of utility operational roles, workflows, and decision-making processes
  • Familiarity with SCADA/OMS/ADMS platforms (ABB, OSI, GE, Schneider Electric)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and consulting skills
  • Business and operational acumen to connect recommendations with organizational goals
  • Experience supporting training, modeling, or simulation development is a plus (but not required as a primary focus)
