ABOUT DURANTA & WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Our mission is to help create a more beautiful world, which we achieve by helping landscapers design, install and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. Every year, over 1.5 million acres of land in the US is being converted into urban dwelling areas, and we are building the platform that contractors will use to design beautiful, ecological spaces, and run efficient businesses.
We are looking for a computer graphics engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for helping build CAD interfaces that are easy and delightful to use. You will work closely with the engineering team to develop and deliver features that integrate seamlessly in the rest of our application.
We are headquartered in Seattle, which is where this role is based.
We are open to hiring someone at various experience levels from a mid-level engineer with 2+ years of relevant graphics engineering experience, to someone more senior. The broad salary range reflects that.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND FOCUS AREAS
- Work directly on developing Duranta's CAD engine alongside the current graphic and computer vision engineering team
- Work with the broader engineering team (~10 people) to build a delightful application
- Integrate 3rd party data sets to help create a digital twin of the physical world
You will thrive if you have
- Quantitative approach to solving problems and are in depth familiar with computational geometry
- Wrote ray tracers and/or game engines from scratch and are comfortable writing low level graphics code
- Early stage startup experience
- Enjoy working in small, exceptionally driven and talented teams with high autonomy
- Have at least 2 years of experience in building CAD applications, 3D games or any other computer graphics related applications
- Have at least 1 year of experience using Typescript or Javascript
And for extra credit
- Experience building web applications adapted for mobile devices
- Experience with mobile development on IOS or Android
- Experience with CVML or general AI applications
