The Role:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation and execution of digital and print design assets across all channels under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer and the Creative Manager.
This highly varied role is essential in shaping the look and feel of the visual aspects, which will be distributed across all mediums and designed to connect with all audiences. Our ideal candidate will be able to take direction and work independently, have a creative flair with an excellent eye for detail and be a visionary thinker, who will settle perfectly into this culturally driven and innovative team.
This is a full-time head office-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative ideas to visually communicate the GLL brand objectives and values
- Maintain the consistency and optimal representation of logos, typography, and content across all platforms
- Provide presentations on fonts, colour palettes, and art direction ideas for campaigns and launches and content strategies
- Concept and development of visual identity and all creative output for campaigns and promotions
- Assist with editing of photo and video assets, including retouching, resizing, video edits and optimisation for digital platforms
- Updating training documents and style guides with new products and content
- Creating and maintaining staff email signatures and ordering of business cards
- Design of paid advertising material, ensuring optimisation for each platform
- Assist in the maintenance of the website in regard to design assets and content creative including banners, blog creative and web page design
- Design print and digital sales and advertising collateral, EDMs for internal, B2B and D2C use
Essential Knowledge/Behaviours:
- Degree or Certificate in a Graphic Design or similar creative qualification and experience in the industry
- Expert knowledge of all Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and Acrobat
- 1-2 years' experience as a Graphic Designer
- Thorough understanding of graphic design trends and best practice
- CRM knowledge working with Klaviyo (preferred)
- Sound understanding of Microsoft Suite
- Ability to HTML code, design & develop for web (preferred)
- Knowledge of CMS platforms is advantageous (e.g. Shopify)
- Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Youtube, TikTok and Pinterest)- removed strong
- Demonstrates effective time management and organisational skills
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting daily goals and deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident contributor to brainstorming and idea-generation sessions
- Ability to inspire others and work both independently and collaboratively within a team
