Graphic Designer

Just Right Reader, a company dedicated to helping children master reading through decodable books, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging and visually appealing designs for our decodable reading materials, ensuring they are both educational and visually stimulating for young readers. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with content creators, educational experts, and marketers to deliver high-quality visual materials that support our mission.

Responsibilities:

• Design visually engaging and age-appropriate layouts for decodable reading materials, including books and all product resources.
• Collaborate closely with content developers to ensure design aligns with educational goals and reading standards.
• Create and maintain templates for both print and digital resources that ensure consistency across projects.
• Design marketing materials (e.g., social media posts, flyers, email templates) that promote our decodable reading products.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring designs meet deadlines in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• Prepare final artwork for production, ensuring proper formatting and specifications for both print and digital use.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in designing educational materials, particularly for children or young readers.
• Ability to create fun, engaging, and visually stimulating designs that are easy for young learners to follow.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with design principles specific to children’s educational content, such as readability, age-appropriate typography, and visual storytelling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt designs to meet specific educational goals.
