Position Description:
Our Graphic Designer supports the marketing team in the design and production of a variety of digital and print deliverables including, but not limited to: website design, product launch graphics, promo graphics, campaign communications (email, direct mail, etc.), brochures, one-sheets, advertising (print and online), event graphics and signage, packaging, and corporate presentations.
The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, with well-developed critical thinking skills who is able to process, react to, and problem-solve marketing challenges in a timely manner.
CREATIVE DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Communicate and facilitate the art direction and formatting of design deliverables, and produce the necessary communications pieces in both print and digital environments.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms.
- Apply style guides creatively while upholding the company's brand identity.
- Be a steward of the brand, striving to protect its integrity while contributing to its evolution.
- Develop innovative concepts and designs that fulfill campaign/project objectives by clearly communicating the appropriate marketing messages.
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity to complex design challenges.
- Create design comps, style guides, wireframes, storyboards, etc. to effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design functionality.
- Work both collaboratively and independently, being able to deliver multiple projects and assets within tight deadlines.
- Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final deliverable.
- Work with both internal and contract photographers and videographers to develop imagery that meets marketing and brand standards.
NEEDED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
- Possess strong conceptual skills along with a firm grasp of design, layout, and typography.
- Be a broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design solutions.
- Capable of receiving creative direction and working in a team environment.
- Comfortable with accepting and managing feedback and constructive criticism.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- May include management of other designers, freelancers, or vendors.
- Strong creative, organizational, problem solving, and time-management skills.
- Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Able to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong knowledge of prototyping tools such as Adobe XD or Figma.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, and experience using CMS platforms.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with strong competence in PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of printing and production processes.
