ABOUT IIX GLOBAL
IIX (Impact Investment Exchange) is a Singapore-headquartered pioneer in impact investing, connecting capital markets with sustainable development. For over a decade, IIX has been building the infrastructure for impact — structuring innovative financial instruments, running donor-funded development programs, and developing digital platforms that serve impact investors, enterprises, and communities across Asia and beyond.
Our work spans impact-linked securities, blended finance, gender-lens investing, and climate finance — always with the goal of mobilizing private capital for social and environmental good. We are a lean, mission-obsessed team. Everyone here wears multiple hats, moves fast, and cares deeply
ROLE PURPOSE
IIX is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join the Impact Partners team in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role sits at the heart of IIX’s corporate finance advisory and platform development work, supporting managers across deal origination, investor relations, project coordination, and enterprise impact assessment.
The ideal candidate brings a finance background, strong writing skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, and the credibility to engage diverse stakeholders — from impact enterprises and investors to government bodies and international institutions. You will gain unparalleled hands-on exposure to impact investing, structured finance, and the rapidly growing sustainable development finance space.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal Strategy & Donor Alignment
- Analyze the target call and donor priorities, including GAC’s Indo-Pacific Policy, mutual economic prosperity, planned trade agreement between Canada and the Philippines, and its climate and gender equality commitments, and map IIX’s program approach against them
- Recommend proposal positioning, narrative, workstreams, and partnership structures
- Identify secondary funding sources (DFAT, ADB, and other bilateral or multilateral windows) where the core content can be adapted
Proposal Development
- Draft the full technical narrative proposal: context and problem analysis, theory of change, program design, implementation plan, partnership strategy with local and Canadian organizations, and sustainability strategy, drawing on IIX’s approach in similar proposals
- Build donor-format results tools: logic model, performance measurement framework, and risk register
- Prepare the gender equality analysis (GBA+ or donor equivalent) and the climate and environmental integration sections
- Write the budget narrative with IIX Finance team, ensuring cost lines tie to activities and results
- Compile annexes: organizational capacity statement, partner letters, CVs, and compliance documents
Philippines Context & Stakeholder Input
- Integrate Philippines-specific evidence on women’s enterprise, climate vulnerability, financial market ecosystem for SMEs, and access to finance
- Align the proposal with relevant Philippine government and Canada-Philippines shared trade and development priorities
- Engage with external partners and stakeholders to gather inputs and incorporate into the proposal, as needed
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Skills
- 8+ years of proposal development and grant writing for international development programs
- Documented record of winning proposals for bilateral and multilateral donors. Global Affairs Canada (GAC) experience is strongly preferred; DFAT, ADB, and USAID-funded program experience is also relevant
- Track record designing or writing SME development, gender-lens and/or climate programs in the Philippines
- Working command of donor results frameworks: logic models, performance measurement frameworks, and gender equality analysis (GBA+ or equivalent)
- Exceptional written English, with the ability to write both a persuasive narrative and a tight technical annex
- Familiarity with impact investing, blended finance, enterprise development, or access-to-finance programming is a strong advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field; a Master’s is preferred
The Person
- Deadline management: Plans backwards from the submission date and delivers complete, polished proposals on time.
- Donor fluency: Reads calls for proposals carefully and aligns content to the donor’s evaluation criteria.
- Evidence-based writing: Backs every narrative claim with data or credible sources.
- Collaboration: Brings together input from technical, finance and partner teams into one coherent proposal.
- Local presence: Based in the Philippines, with strong local networks and availability for in-person sessions in Metro Manila when needed.
