The Grant Review Specialist (GRS) is responsible for administrative and operational support of multiple concurrent grant review cycles. The GRS position requires high level administrative support skills as well as critical thinking and attention to detail. Selected candidates are expected to contribute excellent technical and administrative skills to a multidisciplinary team of government and contract scientists and support staff for execution of the congressionally mandated research programs. The contract will be responsible for planning, coordinating, integrating, programming, budgeting and executing these programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing day-to-day support for grant review projects assigned.
- Assists in the execution of the full life cycle of grant application receipt, processing, review, and tracking.
- Assists with budget monitoring
- Provides technical assistance to applicants and grantees as needed.
- Provides administrative support to 2 to 4 grant review managers
- Data entry and data abstraction as needed.
- Organizes electronic and paper records
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of four (4) years of equivalent work experience. Advanced degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience
- College degree in health or science related field desired
- Graduate degree desired
- Strong administrative skills, excellent customer service orientation, great attention to detail, organizational and operations support skills
- Knowledge and experience using SharePoint and Salesforce desired.
- Knowledge of Federal Government Contracting desired.
- Proficient with or skilled in the use of Microsoft Office 365 required.
