SEH is seeking an entry-level Wastewater Engineer I to join our Water/Wastewater team in Duluth, Minnesota. At SEH, you’ll gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals who are invested in your growth. You’ll build practical skills in planning, design, field observation, construction administration, and technical documentation while collaborating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients. • Join a collaborative Duluth-based team supporting municipal wastewater projects and local client needs.
• Assist with wastewater engineering planning, studies, design support, preliminary calculations, analyses, plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Support field staff through construction observation, field work, construction administration, and submittal review.
• Work closely with experienced engineers and project managers while learning SEH processes, procedures, quality expectations, and project delivery standards.
• Collaborate with wastewater, conveyance, civil, and related project teams across SEH.
• This opportunity is open to candidates residing in or willing to relocate to the Duluth, Minnesota area.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in water and wastewater engineering.
• Able and willing to report to the Duluth office and nearby project sites as needed.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Able to work outdoors, traverse rough terrain, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments.

• Relevant coursework or internship experience related to wastewater, water resources, civil site, environmental, or municipal engineering.
• Foundational design, technical writing, construction observation, or construction administration experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and engineering-related software.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain certification.
