We’re seeking final-year students (graduating in 2027) from:
  • Engineering: Mechanical, Electronics, Software, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Biomedical
  • Design: UX/UI, Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design
(Or have graduated in 2026 with up to 2-years' work experience in a relevant discipline listed above).

About the PI Graduate Program:
Our award-winning 2-year program is designed to accelerate your growth, combining technical, consulting, and commercial experience. You’ll work on real projects across experience design, product development, digital solutions, and advanced manufacturing—all while building core business and leadership capabilities.
With guidance from world-class engineers, designers, and consultants, you’ll gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to become a well-rounded professional who can make an impact from day one.
What You’ll Do:
As a PI Graduate, you will:
  • Contribute to product design and development activities.
  • Build and test prototypes, investigate issues, and drive solutions.
  • Support client workshops, brainstorming sessions, and innovation sprints.
  • Document and communicate work in line with quality and engineering standards.
  • Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Seek out mentorship, share ideas, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Our Recruitment Process:
We typically receive hundreds of applications for very limited spaces each year. Therefore, we are proud to run a rigorous process for our Graduate Program to ensure we attract and assess the very best emerging talent.
Candidates complete a psychometric assessment, submit a short video, attend 2-3 onsite interviews and undergo reference checks before offers are made. It's not an easy journey - but for those who make it through, the reward is joining a truly high-performing cohort.
Eligibility Requirements:
As our Graduate Program is designed to provide long-term career opportunities within Planet Innovation, applicants must hold full Australian work rights and be either an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for graduate roles at this time, so candidates requiring current or future sponsorship will not be eligible for consideration.

Skills Required

  • Final-year student graduating in 2027 in engineering or design, including mechanical, electronics, software, computer science, mechatronics, aerospace, biomedical, UX/UI, interaction, product, or industrial design
  • Alternatively, graduated in 2026 with up to two years of relevant work experience
