We’re a ground-breaking collaboration between eight leading organisations – Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO – and we deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
We are seeking a motivated and solutions-focused Process Engineer to join our team working on major water and wastewater treatment projects across East Anglia. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of sustainable water management, supporting essential infrastructure that serves communities and the environment.
As a Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, optimisation, and performance monitoring of water and wastewater treatment processes. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll contribute to both capital delivery and operational improvement programmes.
Develop and evaluate water and wastewater treatment process designs.
Support project teams through feasibility, outline, and detailed design phases.
Carry out process modelling, mass balances, and technical risk assessments.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Provide technical input to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement across projects.
Support commissioning and troubleshooting of new and existing treatment assets.
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience in the UK water sector (clean or wastewater) preferred.
Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
Proficiency with process simulation tools.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the East Anglia region.

The Anglian Water's @one Alliance is a partnership consisting of 8 companies, who each provide specialised knowledge allowing the @one Alliance to deliver complex delivery projects in the most efficient way, reducing the cost to Anglian Water’s customers.
Within @one Alliance we’ve currently embarked on a huge programme of work costing a massive £1.2 billion. We’ve entered year 5 of our current 5-year Asset Management Period (AMP7) meaning we’re full steam ahead in delivering around 50% of Anglian Water’s capital delivery projects.
