BAA Finance is seeking a Graduate Accountant to be part of our growing Financial Accounting team. This is a Full Time; Permanent role based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager.
The Financial Accounting team at BAA manages our P&L and Balance Sheet including reconciliations, SAP GL, cash, offshore AP & AR teams, Monthly / Quarterly / Annual and Statutory Reporting. In addition, we liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally and collaborate with other Boeing teams to meet FBT, GST and Corporate Tax requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure Accounts Payable processes work smoothly
- Support internal BAA customers with AP matters
- Prepare Monthly & Quarterly Reports & Schedules
- Undertake GL reconciliations
- Complete SOX requirements
- Support reporting requirements for FBT, Tax and month-end
- Problem solving and resolution of day-to-day accounting issues
- Review Financial compliance and adherence to GAAP and Boeing Company Policies
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- Already degree qualified or to be completed by the end of 2026 (job commencement date is mid 2026)
- 0 - 2 years experience, and committed to undertaking CA / CPA
- Comfortable in working and interacting in a team environment, willingness to learn & explore and put your problem-solving skills to the test in a hands-on environment
- Be confident about what you can bring to the team
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Applicants must have unrestricted full-time working rights in Australia
Additional Information
This is a non-Enterprise Agreement IJC 9AHCI1 position and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6 month probationary period.
