SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Team Leader and Production Team Leader, the Linens Grader is responsible for processing all donated Linen. Primary duties include sorting, quality selection, rolling Linen to the sales floor, and properly merchandising Linen according to Goodwill standards. In addition, the grading of all Linen will be based on brand & condition using Goodwill’s good, better, and best program. Finally, the Linen Grader must maintain the production area keeping workstation clean, neat, and in safe conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
1.    Sort donated linen and place non-sellable items into outlet containers.
2.    Grading merchandise based on brand & condition using Goodwill’s good, better, and best program.
3.    Rotate merchandise in a timely manner using Goodwill’s four-color process.
4.    Keep the production area clean, neat, and safe.
5.    Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code, including a name badge.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
1.    Responsible for pulling and detailing linen area during power hour process per established procedure.
2.    Responsible for performing their assigned duties within the framework of our Core Principles
3.    Attend in-service and related training as assigned by Team Leader
4.    Perform other duties assigned by the Team Lead and Production Team Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

2.    Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
3.    Ability to react calmly and react to emergency situations.
4.    Ability to listen and follow directions.
5.    Ability to stand for long periods of time.
6.    Knowledge of linen brands and varieties. 
7.    Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language

Education and/or Experience:
Previous retail and/or stack handling experience is preferred.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
(e.g. physical or environmental requirements, irregular work schedule, required license or certification, background check)

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

1.    Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
2.    Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 
3.    Standing and walking for long periods of time
4.    Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
5.    Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.
6.    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
