Northwest Center is seeking a Government Contracts and Safety Manager to support our government operations by driving coordination across contracts, compliance requirements, and internal programs. This role plays a critical part in translating business priorities into structured plans and ensuring alignment with regulatory and customer expectations. 

You'll work cross-functionally to support government contract operations, strengthen reporting and planning processes, and lead the organization's safety program. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in regulated environments, enjoys balancing multiple priorities, and is passionate about building consistent, compliant systems that support operational excellence. 

Location: SeaTac, WA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (occasional nights and weekends as needed)
Wage Range: $38.00 - $43.50 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

Program & Project Management
  • Translate priorities into clear plans with timelines, milestones, and accountability measures
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure commitments to customers, auditors, and leadership are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support audit preparation and compliance initiatives
  • Evaluate potential government contract opportunities, elevating viable opportunities to leadership
  • Contribute to special projects related to operations, contract opportunities, and safety and compliance effectiveness
Government Contract Compliance & Planning
  • Support contract modifications, renewals, and planning
  • Coordinate inputs and maintain required documentation
Financial & Reporting Support
  • Understand government contract pricing concepts and assist with pricing and proposal efforts
  • Maintain KPI reporting and support business rhythms
Safety (Program Ownership)
  • Establish and lead a company-wide safety program
  • Develop policies, resources, safety plans, and other program or site-specific safety documentation
  • Coordinate safety committees, drills, and compliance activities
  • Conduct hands-on safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Assess safety training needs and deliver or facilitate safety training

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting operations within regulated or compliance-driven environments; government contracting strongly preferred
  • Experience with workplace safety, with demonstrated responsibility for establishing, running, and/or improving safety programs preferred
  • Business management experience preferred
  • Strong ability to balance competing priorities across multiple operational areas
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting and payroll; exposure to government contract pricing is a plus
  • Valid WA driver's license and personal mode of transportation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business systems
  • Commitment to inclusion in operational practices
