About this Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Contracts Manager to lead our engagement with U.S. government aerospace and defense sectors. This role is pivotal in establishing and expanding Reflect Orbital’s presence within the U.S. aerospace and defense sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government sales, an understanding of military procurement processes, and the ability to navigate the U.S. defense stakeholder ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Work with Reflect Orbital leadership to develop a comprehensive sales strategy targeting the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
Execute sales strategy by deepening existing engagements and identifying and pursuing net new opportunities.
Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in military branches, defense agencies, and related government entities.
Lead the end-to-end sales process for specific funding opportunities including identification of opportunity, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
Collaborate with internal team members to align Reflect Orbital’s services and design with military needs and requirements.
Represent Reflect Orbital at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our solutions.
Qualifications
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in military or defense sales, with proven track record of success.
In-depth knowledge of DoD procurement processes, contracting vehicles, and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with space-based technologies or critical and emerging technologies
Strong network within the defense community, including experience working directly with military branches and congressional authorizers and appropriators
EAR / ITAR compliance
