As a Government Contracts Compliance Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our government contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. You will be responsible for analyzing contract requirements, monitoring compliance activities, and supporting audits and reviews to mitigate risks and maintain the integrity of our government contracting processes.
You will work out of our Charlotte, NC or Washington, D.C. location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact Honeywell by safeguarding compliance with government contracting regulations, supporting contract administration, and helping to maintain strong relationships with government customers through accurate and timely compliance management.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day government contracts compliance support to business and functional stakeholders, including supporting DPAS compliance and NDAA Section 889 compliance activities.
- Track regulatory developments (including proposed rules) and draft internal communications summarizing changes, timelines, and practical implementation guidance.
- Maintain and update internal FAR/DFARS clause guidance tools (including deviations) to ensure current, usable guidance.
- Advise on clause applicability and negotiation topics for primarily FAR Part 12 / firm-fixed-price (FFP) contracting environments (with escalation topics
- Support domestic preference compliance reviews and certifications, including Buy American Act (BAA), Trade Agreements Act (TAA), Buy America/Build America, Buy America (BABA), and other federal/state/local domestic content requirements; assist with waiver request support and review.
- Monitor and assess supply chain restrictions and related government actions (e.g., FASCSA orders), perform periodic checks, coordinate screening activities with internal stakeholders, assist with supplier representations and certification workflows, and communicate impacts and required actions.
- Maintain and support government registrations and identifiers as assigned (e.g., SAM.gov registrations and CAGE code renewals) and coordinate required updates with internal owners.
- Develop and deliver trainings on government contracts compliance topics; support planning, scheduling, and attendance tracking as needed.
- Coordinate or support site and business-unit government contracts compliance assessments, audits, and compliance reviews using established tools; analyze results and support corrective action plan creation and follow-through.

YOU MUST HAVE
- At least 2 years’ experience supporting compliance, contracts, legal operations, supply chain, or risk management in a regulated environment.
- Strong familiarity with U.S. Government contracting concepts and compliance requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS clause frameworks, representations and certifications, domestic preference regimes, supply chain restrictions).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to translate requirements into practical guidance and repeatable processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder requests with a customer-service mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using business systems and productivity tools (e.g., SharePoint/Teams sites, workflow tools, dashboards, and tracking logs).
- Regulatory research and issue-spotting; ability to distinguish between current rules, proposed rules, and deviations.
- Sound judgment with escalation of legal-risk issues to counsel.
