We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Analyst to join our French Corporate Governance team in Paris. This is a unique opportunity to join our market-leading Corporate Governance Research team.

As part of the French ISS Benchmark Research team, you will be able to further hone your expertise in a dynamic work environment.
This role is well suited to candidates with a keen interest in capital markets, analyzing corporate structures and interactions between corporate bodies, governance frameworks, and understanding how these are assessed by the stakeholders.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with other members of the team and within the organization worldwide, you will be in charge of the following:
- Analyzing corporate governance data, financial and extra-financial information to provide detailed reports on companies listed on the French market, based on the ISS voting policy.
- Providing clients vote recommendations on shareholders' meetings agenda items.
- Engaging with issuers regarding shareholders' general meetings.
- Answering internal/external questions related to proxy reports.
- Contributing to the regular publication of research papers and to the development of ISS corporate governance policies.
- Developing an expertise on the French market in corporate governance, investment, and shareholders' rights and expectations.
- Engaging with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Required qualifications
- Good understanding of finance/capital markets and corporate governance topics, ideally with a first experience in corporate governance.
- Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics or Political Sciences.
- Fluent in French and English, written and spoken (C1 and above). Ability to understand highly technical governance & law related documents in both languages.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High level and deep dive research skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiatives, and collaborate within a team.
- Appetence for taking part in debates on corporate governance and the implementation of the voting policy among team members; ability to support personal ideas all the while accepting criticism and contradiction.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends and/or under tight deadlines during the proxy season (peak in April-May).
- Computer literacy.

- Proficiency in AI tools and prompt engineering to enhance research workflow.
