Responsibilities :
- Work closely with pastoral team in determining worship style and song selection.
- Create song slides for worship service. Song slides are to be turned into Lead Faith Group Chaplain or designee weekly at a predetermined time.
- Lead praise team and/or congregational singing at 0930 Protestant Gospel Service and special Holy Day services.
- Conduct and lead weekly choir rehearsals.
- Continually upgrade and maintain the music library and songs used in the worship service.
- Comply with all copyright licensing agreement standards.
- Recruit volunteer musicians and choir members.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in music or a minimum of four years' experience directing and playing for worship services with an emphasis on Gospel and/or Contemporary Christian music.
- Must believe and adhere to the basic tenants of the Protestant Christian faith.
- Ability to play a musical instrument and lead worship simultaneously.
- Ability to play guitar and/or keyboard (other instruments as approved by Lead Faith Group Chaplain).
- Ability to perform accompaniment with multiple musicians.
- Understand and have ability to play various forms of music that are appropriate for a blended worship service.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in music or at least four years of experience directing and playing for worship services focused on Gospel or Contemporary Christian music
- Belief in and adherence to the basic tenets of the Protestant Christian faith
- Ability to play a musical instrument while leading worship
- Ability to play guitar and/or keyboard
- Ability to accompany multiple musicians
- Understanding of and ability to perform various music styles appropriate for blended worship services
