As the Go To Market and Content Planning Lead, you will lead the cross functional seasonal planning process, enabling a sharp seasonal plan and brief fueling our content production engine. In this highly entrepreneurial and visible role, you will build a roadmap to seasonal integrated campaign launches, sourcing inputs at key milestones from across the organization including: Merchandising, Customer Insights, Finance, and Marketing Channel leads (i.e. Site, Social, E-mail, Paid, PR, Partnerships). You will drive and optimize a repeatable process that allows teams to plan for key inputs and deliver a consistent experience across touch-points that our customers can count on. In addition, you will work closely with organizational leadership to drive business objectives through the GTM process, ensuring we maintain our exciting culture of continuous innovation on behalf of our customer. Your efforts will amplify the marketing impact by ensuring synergy in content and programming across the channel mix and throughout the funnel. 

As the GTM and Content Planning Lead, you'll play a central role in shaping the trajectory of our business, ensuring seasonal plans and content program across channels aligns with our strategic objectives and market opportunities. Reporting directly to the Director of Insights and Operations in our growing marketing team, you'll have the opportunity to influence organizational decisions that propel Zappos forward in the ever-evolving e-commerce landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee marketing’s go-to-market process, strategy building, and content briefing from seasonal buys to campaign production. 
  • Own and drive creation of an integrated go-to-market calendar, planning, and messaging strategy alongside marketing channel owners leveraging consumer insights and data to achieve business goals. 
  • Work with Merchandising and Buyers to align key seasonal business priorities, product trends, and brand engagement pillars to fuel with their brand and product investment choices. 
  • Source seasonal customer, brand, and business insights from internal stakeholders and agency partners to fuel channel planning. 
  • Work closely with channel teams to align on business opportunities, develop integrated marketing plans, and oversee associated channel content and tactical briefs. 
  • Construct and drive a content planning framework that collects and aligns channel content needs for handoff to content teams for streamlined seasonal production. 
  • Enable the creation of compelling content by driving clear and data driven brief formats. 
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of and ownership for the full customer journey, from awareness to conversion and retention. 
  • Continuously iterate and refine seasonal planning processes to enhance efficiency and synergy in cross functional executions. 
  • Ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with business goals, brand positioning, and the broader marketing strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in e-commerce, marketing, or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with ability to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex projects with multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as JIRA, Smartsheets, Asana, MS Project, and/or Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to build relationships and influence stakeholders across a diverse organization.
  • Demonstrated passion for leveraging market research and consumer behavior in strategic planning.
  • Direct experience with planning content for digital marketing techniques and platforms, including paid/social media, SEO, SEM, and/or content marketing.
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing integrated marketing plans, including content planning, and mapping.
  • Experience creating compelling marketing content and overseeing creative processes to ensure brand consistency and engagement across different markets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of marketing planning and Go to Market processes, tools, and strategy.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative success across diverse departmental landscapes.
  • Proficiency in both autonomous and team-oriented project management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational finesse.
     

This role is open to candidates physically located in the following metropolitan statistical areas: Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; and Seattle, WA.

Candidates who are not physically located in one of these areas may not be considered for this role. The base pay range for this position is $126,500 - 144,000 per year ; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, a full range of medical and other benefits is offered.
