The Role

At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.

We care deeply about delivering the best transportation experience; this means the best experience for the passenger and the best experience for the driver. We believe this quality of service can only be achieved with a deep understanding of our world, our cities, our streets… how they evolve, how they breathe.

Lyft’s San Francisco team is expanding, and we are looking for a Global Supply Chain Intern to assist with the execution of Hardware Supply Chain strategies. In this role, you will support the Supply Chain team in sourcing key product components and services for the Lyft Urban Solutions division, which includes bikes, scooters, and stations. You will help shape the strategy and play an active role in the execution needed to bring these products to market. Your work will involve conducting industry research and collaborating with strategic suppliers on agreements, pricing, and supplier management. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, and Product Development.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on assigned product categories to assess market trends, cost structures, and competitive dynamics
  • Assist in managing key supplier relationships to help drive competitive advantage
  • Support the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process with suppliers
  • Analyze Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) factors, including product cost, transportation, inventory, and quality
  • Use data analytics to inform and guide strategic business decisions

Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (with a focus on Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics preferred), with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and Summer 2026 (required)
  • Available during Summer 2025 for the internship
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is required
  • Experience with an ERP system is a plus

Benefits:

  • Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Mental health benefits
  • In addition to holidays, interns receive 2 days paid time off and 3 days sick time off
  • 401(k) plan to help save for your future
  • Subsidized commuter benefits
  • Lyft Pink - Lyft team members get an exclusive opportunity to test new benefits of our Ridership Program

Benefits are available for Lyft team members who work 30 or more hours per week. Please request information about benefits available to team members who work 29 hours or less per week.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regards to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other basis prohibited by law. We also consider qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable federal, state and local law.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $36 - $42 per hour. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Your recruiter can share more information about the salary range specific to your working location and other factors during the hiring process.
