Description:

This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Global Software Developer supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 9 years' experience and be responsible for, but not limited to: designing, developing, testing, and investigating innovative solutions contributing to the Missile Defense program.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline.
• Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• 3+ years of Java development experience writing unit-testable operational code and unit tests exercising said code.
• 2+ years in a Linux-based (preferably Red Hat / CentOS / Oracle Linux) environment.
• 2+ years with GIT in Linux.
• 2+ years with Jira and Confluence.
• 1+ years of software modeling using UML.
• 1+ years writing & presenting technical documentation to audiences ranging from team members to non-technical customers.
• Object-Oriented paradigms.
• Software Design Patterns
• Experience with Java-based applications heavily reliant on efficient algorithm development & linear algebra.
• Writing technical memorandums, white papers, software modeling, and technical presentations.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Understanding of object-oriented software development and automated testing.
• Ability to analyze high-level needs and define a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that lead to a fielded product.
• Effective communication, ability to clearly present technical approaches and findings.
• Experience writing and implementing project reports, plans, and status.

Desired Qualifications:

• Use of Eclipse, Matlab, Visio, & Enterprise Architect.
• Software design using Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
• Fluent in BaSH (Bourne-Again Shell) or similar scripting.
• Automated test-driven & continuous integration development.
• Linear algebra.
• Agile methodology.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

The proposed salary range for this position is $109.4k - $160.2k. Salaries are commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications within the experience bandwidth, as well as market and business considerations.
