Global Quality Assurance (GQA) Engineer– reports to the Global Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary

The Global Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for supporting the Global Quality Assurance Manager in the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Quality Management System deployed across the various departments, functions, and business units within Sensia. 

Additionally, the GQA Engineer is responsible for supporting the development of resources and tools, both internal and external, that contribute to the ongoing maintenance and development of key Quality Assurance activities such as internal audit, audit team development, supplier qualification and maintenance processes, corrective action, and continual improvement.

In addition to those noted above, duties will Include:

  • Supporting the deployment and management of the Sensia QMS, including the respective business systems and functions.
  • Collate, analyze, and monitor Quality performance data and charts in support of the Goals and Objectives for the Sensia Organization, including Supplier, Internal (Proposals, Project, Product and Service/Warranty) and Customer conformance reporting.
  • When required, participate in product failure investigation and CAR investigations, root cause analysis processes.
  • Participates in developing and conducting Quality Management Systems training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
  • Support evaluation, approval, and ongoing maintenance of suppliers.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Global Quality Assurance Manager.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and/or API Q1 Quality standard.
  • Understanding and application of continual improvement and problem-solving concepts such as: FMEA, 8D, A3 Format Problem Solving. Able to effectively lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate and engage with various interested parties both internal and external to the organization.
  • Proven ability with digital platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel both domestically and International as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, etc.
  • Proficient knowledge of industry and quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ASME IX, ASME B31.3, ATEX, PED, API, etc.
  • Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt certification
  • Membership to ASQ, CQI, IRCA
  • Certified Quality programs such as Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Supplier Quality Professional.
  • Other Quality qualifications deemed relevant. (will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)
