Role purpose
This role supports Aesop’s Global leadership in making data and insight-based decisions on improving business performance across all channels. Reporting into Aesop’s Retail Insights Lead, the Global Omnichannel Analyst will use data from our stores, websites, CRM programmes and operational systems to guide heads of functions in developing global frameworks that are adaptable at a local level. They will analyse the effectiveness of these strategies and in turn make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Our analytics team work in close collaboration with a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to solve complex business problems using appropriate analytical techniques. We endeavour to communicate insights from data in a compelling and impactful manner to enable decision making.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to –
Business Partnering:
Independently liaise with and manage expectations of various stakeholders on progress against the analytics roadmap
Evaluate briefs and develop methodologies in consensus with stakeholders across the globe and across functions, factoring in the requirements of each and using their expertise to contextualise insights
Develop compelling presentations and supporting documents to summarise analyses for key business stakeholders and decision makers
Data analysis and insights:
Analyse extensive global datasets of our customers, transactions in-store and online, data from supply chain systems, retail, finance, CRM etc. to translate into actionable insights
Develop globally applicable methodologies to evaluate business performance
Develop automated tools to track, report and democratise the analysis of performance to stakeholders.
This is a full-time position operating with a hybrid weekly working pattern of three days on-site and two days remote.
What we are looking for
Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment
High Proficiency in SQL, Power BI and MS Office
An academic background in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics and or Economics is preferred
Demonstratable proficiency in profiling, clustering, segmentation, campaign analysis, category analysis, market basket analysis, experiment design and or forecasting
Experience in developing and delivering presentations to a wide range of stakeholder groups, synthesising complex analytics into actionable insights
Strong facilitation skills in guiding conversations with multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups to define analytical methods
Experience using AI to deliver outcomes within your role would be valuable.
