Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Network & Telecommunications Manager to lead the design, implementation, and management of our global network and telecommunications infrastructure. This role will oversee networks across more than 50 locations in 6 countries, managing 500+ network assets and supporting 1,000+ end users. You will lead a team of direct reports and third-party providers, driving enterprise technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics to ensure our IT organization delivers measurable value.

Key Responsibilities: 

Network Management & Operations

  • Design, architect, and maintain data and telecommunications networks to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor performance, resolve incidents, and ensure uptime SLAs are met.
  • Maintain network configurations, services, and systems to comply with security policies and industry best practices.
  • Manage network hardware, operating systems, and applications, including capacity planning.
  • Develop and track KPIs and performance metrics for networks and telecom.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Security team to ensure secure and compliant networks.

Team Leadership & Resource Management

  • Lead a team of employees, contractors, and third-party service providers.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain high-performing team members.
  • Develop and mentor direct reports, providing challenging assignments and growth opportunities.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure quality service delivery.

Vendor & Financial Oversight

  • Manage third-party service providers, ensuring contract compliance and performance metrics.
  • Oversee telecom vendor contracts, budgets, forecasts, and invoicing.
  • Assist in planning technical projects, including vendor selection and cost/benefit analyses.

Strategy, Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement innovative technology solutions that improve business outcomes.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for processes, competencies, and supplier performance.
  • Develop a 3-year strategy and roadmap for network and telecom services.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

Expected Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of proven experience in network management, including strong expertise with network and security management tools.
  • At least 5 years of experience with relevant IT technologies, with a focus on planning and managing enterprise-level data networks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • In-depth working knowledge of network devices, scalability constraints, and network design.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages to monitor system performance in data center infrastructure/environments.
  • Proven experience with industry-standard networking infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related technologies.
  • Expertise in network management, SD-WAN configuration, Next-Generation Firewall administration, UCaaS, security management, and wireless network services.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, global environment.

    Travel:

    • Up to 25% travel to our distribution centers, as needed.

    Pre-Employment Requirement: 

    • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check. This requirement is especially critical for safety-sensitive roles.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $155,000 - $170,000. The actual pay will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
