Developing and shaping technology direction, strategy, roadmap for applications in alignment with BPO, the overall SAP Finance strategy in cooperation with the relevant platform and architecture teams is a key component of the role.

Major Accountabilities
  • Act as primary Business Partner for Finance function in ‘Invoice To Cash’, Treasury and Risk Management, Tax. Foster best practice application in Business process and technology solution design

  • Act as technical solution owner, as owner of technical core design of predominantly SAP based functionalities in the area of responsibility

  • Define, align (with Business leads and within Technology teams) and execute technology delivery strategy for area of responsibility with the aim of bringing cutting-edge innovation, process standardization with high focus on user experience, automation and efficiency improvements.

  • Partner with other Technology teams for demand and user requirement analysis, evaluate solutions and drive the preparation of solution proposal including effort and cost estimates.

  • Ensure on time, within budget and quality delivery of portfolio in a compliant manner in line with Business expectations and Technology strategy in collaboration with delivery organizations

  • Own the design of innovative, fit-for-purpose, reusable and scalable functionality in area of responsibility and steer deployment with delivery teams following Business priorities to generate the desired Business value and impact

  • Establish governance structure for service delivery (projects, enhancements, operations) with right stakeholder representation in area of area of responsibility.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, to drive service delivery activities and resolve integration challenges effectively.

  • Identify potential risks and issues related to applications integration, implementing proactive mitigation strategies to minimise impact on service delivery

  • Facilitate clear communication between technical teams, business units, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful adoption of the integrated solution.

Ideal Background

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration, or related field; (Master’s degree is preferred) or adequate/comparable alternative education/documented experience

  • Certification in SAP Finance modules or proven/documented expertise in SAP Finance modules (ECC / S/4HANA) required.

  • Education/certification/proven expertise in Financial and Management accounting principles and processes beneficial

Languages

  • Fluent English required (oral and written)

Experience and Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in design, configuration, usage of SAP Finance/Controlling modules in multinational organizations

  • Sound knowledge of SAP Finance transactional and analytics landscape, SAP platforms and applications and integrations to industry leading non SAP products in Finance area

  • Documented experience in SAP functional areas of I2C (AR, integration to SD, RM/collection management, Credit Management, Gross to net accounting and reporting, CO-PA), indirect and direct tax, experience in integration of tax engines beneficial, treasury-/cash-/liquidity management, inhouse cash/bank, BCM & MBC, TRM, FSCM

  • Experience in global scale Treasury and Risk Management/FSCM solutions and/or experience in global scale tax engine implementations

  • Good leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change and innovation.

  • Experience in SAP Core/Template governance and working in diverse cultural environments.

  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and other service management methodologies.
