Join Our Team:

We’re looking for a commercially curious early-career analyst who wants to develop a career in client-facing insights and eCommerce.

You’ll work with established Profitero data and reporting solutions, helping turn eCommerce performance into clear stories, practical recommendations and engaging client conversations. You’ll also learn how to use approved AI tools to explore data and generate insights more efficiently, while applying careful validation and human judgement to every client deliverable.

You do not need to arrive as an expert. We’re looking for strong analytical foundations, clear communication, some experience presenting to others and enthusiasm for developing your client-facing skills.

This is a client insights role rather than a data science, data engineering or software development position. Advanced coding and statistical-modelling experience are not required.

What you’ll do:

 Tell clear, commercially relevant stories

  • Interpret Profitero’s eCommerce data and identify the findings that matter most to a client’s category, brands and commercial objectives.

Present insights to clients

  • Help create clear, engaging presentations and progressively take responsibility for presenting findings, opportunities and practical recommendations to clients.

Support client conversations

  • Contribute to client meetings, explain your findings clearly and develop confidence responding to questions with support from experienced colleagues.

Facilitate workshops and training

  • Help deliver interactive workshops and training sessions that make Profitero data accessible, relevant and easy to act upon.

Develop actionable recommendations

  • Move beyond reporting what happened. Explain why an issue matters, where the opportunity lies and what the client should consider doing next.

Build trusted client relationships

  • Support strong client relationships by developing an understanding of each client’s business, objectives and challenges.

Collaborate across teams

  • Work closely with Customer Success, Insights and technical colleagues to validate findings and deliver accurate, high-quality client work.

Manage multiple deliverables

  • Manage assigned analysis and presentation tasks against agreed priorities and deadlines, communicating progress clearly and raising risks early.

Use AI to work more efficiently

  • Use approved AI tools to support insight generation, explore patterns, summarise information and accelerate the development of client-ready narratives, while checking outputs carefully for accuracy, relevance and appropriate use.

What we’re looking for:

Client-facing confidence

  • You have experience presenting to clients, colleagues, senior stakeholders or academic audiences and are motivated to develop your confidence in client meetings.

Strong presentation skills

  • You can structure a presentation around a clear message and are developing your ability to adapt evidence and detail for different audiences.

Commercial storytelling

  • You can translate numbers into a concise narrative that explains what is happening, why it matters and what action should follow.

Analytical curiosity

  • You enjoy exploring data, identifying patterns and testing possible explanations. You focus on the business meaning of the analysis rather than analysis for its own sake.

Clear communication

  • You communicate complex subjects simply and confidently, both verbally and in writing.

Relationship building

  • You listen carefully, ask good questions and build credibility through relevant, thoughtful recommendations.

Organisation and ownership

  • You can organise your workload, meet agreed deadlines and maintain quality while working across several tasks.

Accuracy

  • You check your work carefully and understand the importance of reliable data and precise communication in client-facing materials.

AI curiosity

  • You are curious about how approved AI tools can help you explore patterns, summarise information and accelerate insight development. You understand the importance of validating outputs and applying human judgement before using them in client work.

Experience:

We would like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Around one to two years of experience in insights, category management, eCommerce, retail, FMCG, consulting, account support or another commercially analytical environment
  • Experience presenting findings, recommendations or business updates to clients or internal stakeholders
  • Confidence creating presentations in PowerPoint
  • Practical experience working with data in Excel
  • An understanding of eCommerce, retailers or consumer brands, or a strong interest in developing this knowledge
  • Strong written and spoken English

Candidates do not need to have held an “analyst” job title if they can demonstrate strong analytical thinking, presentation skills and client-facing potential.

Helpful, but not essential:

  • Experience with digital shelf, eCommerce or retail performance data
  • Experience supporting client workshops, training sessions or business reviews
  • Familiarity with dashboards or reporting platforms
  • Knowledge of FMCG, consumer healthcare, retail or related industries
  • Additional European language skills
  • Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar tools to support research, analysis, presentation development or insight generation

Advanced SQL, Python, data engineering and statistical-modelling experience are not required for this role.

How you’ll develop:

You’ll receive guidance and coaching from experienced Insights colleagues as you develop your analytical, presentation and client-facing skills. Initially, you’ll support established client projects and present defined parts of meetings and business reviews. As your experience and confidence grow, you’ll take on greater ownership of analysis, recommendations and client conversations.
