Job DescriptionIntroduction
We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure SQL Server environments across production, UAT, and development landscapes. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and data integrity while supporting database upgrades, disaster recovery, reporting, and business-critical applications in a fast-paced global environment.
What you'll do
- You'll install, configure, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server databases across Production, UAT, and Development environments, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and scalability.
- You'll implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, failover, and business continuity solutions while supporting database migrations, upgrades, patches, and application releases with minimal downtime.
- You'll monitor, tune, and optimize databases using tools such as SQL Sentry and SSMS, including SQL query optimization, indexing strategies, statistics updates, and workload distribution.
- You'll maintain database integrity, security, and compliance through continuous monitoring, audits, change management processes, issue resolution, and routine data updates.
- You'll support business and application requirements by developing and optimizing database structures, generating SQL reports, documenting changes, forecasting capacity needs, and assisting with performance improvements.

About you
- You have a graduate degree in IT or a related discipline, with Microsoft certifications preferred, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You possess hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including failover clustering, Availability Groups, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Integration Services (SSIS), and Reporting Services (SSRS).
- You can translate business requirements into technical solutions and have experience managing SQL Server environments across different operating systems; PostgreSQL knowledge is an advantage.
- You have strong risk, security, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global, multicultural environment.
- You are proficient in spoken and written English, demonstrate professionalism, integrity, passion, and drive, and preferably have experience within professional services, financial services, or BPO organizations.
