Summary
Lead RMI's global supply chain, procurement and warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient sourcing, control and distribution of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals and operational supplies worldwide.
The role is accountable for supplier performance, purchasing, inventory management, quality assurance, logistics and warehouse oversight, delivering high levels of service, compliance, operational readiness and cost control across all business locations.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to the global Supply Chain team, driving continuous improvement, robust controls and scalable processes to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead, develop and manage the global Supply Chain team.
- Establish objectives, KPIs and service standards.
- Drive a culture of accountability, quality and continuous improvement.
- Build capability, succession and resilience within the function.
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Own all purchasing activities across the business.
- Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, availability and risk.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and commercial terms.
- Manage supplier performance and supplier approval processes.
- Ensure continuity of supply through effective planning and supplier relationships.
Supply Chain Operations
- Ensure timely procurement, inventory replenishment and product availability across global operations.
- Oversee international logistics and distribution activities to support remote and challenging operating environments.
- Monitor supply chain performance and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Support business growth through scalable supply chain solutions.
Warehouse Oversight
- Provide strategic oversight of warehouse operations, inventory control and distribution activities at the Houston facility.
- Ensure warehouse processes, systems and controls support safe, compliant and efficient operations.
- Maintain oversight of inventory accuracy, stock rotation, lot traceability and asset management.
- Champion best practice in warehousing, material handling and inventory management.
- Ensure facility, security and operational standards are maintained.
Quality, Compliance & Controls
- Own quality management across procurement, warehousing, inventory and distribution activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, client and company requirements.
- Maintain robust controls, audit readiness and accurate inventory records.
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement across quality, service and cost performance.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee ERP, inventory and warehouse management systems and support development.
- Develop meaningful performance reporting and operational metrics.
- Standardise processes, strengthen controls and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Lead initiatives that improve service delivery, inventory accuracy and cost effectiveness.
- 7+ years' experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics or warehouse management.
- Demonstrable leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong experience in purchasing, supplier management and inventory control.
- Experience operating across multiple locations or international environments.
- Excellent commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Healthcare, medical equipment or pharmaceutical sector experience.
- Experience managing global logistics and remote operations.
- Knowledge of GDP, DEA or other regulated supply environments.
- APICS, CIPS, ASCM or equivalent professional qualification.
