Global Forecasting Expert

Purpose and Scope:

This position will create a center of excellent for commercial forecasting best practices. It is charged with the design and implementation of a commercial forecast platform to simplify our existing process and advance the sophistication of sensitivity analytics, predictive analytics and assessment of risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Re-imagine the commercial forecast framework by redesigning the tools and processes used to deliver tactical and strategic forecasts.
• Build the infrastructure necessary to improve Astellas commercial forecasting capabilities for current and future brands.
• Develop and maintain the tactical and strategic forecasts for priority brands and established products based on inputs from the brand teams and the brand Commercial Insights colleagues.
• Coordinate with other functions (P-tech, Corporate Strategy, Portfolio Strategy, Finance) for forecasting deliverables and timelines.
• Recommend and design appropriate analytics to illustrate sensitivities, risks and opportunities within the brand forecasts and provide recommendations on approaches for scenario planning.
  

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS; MBA or other advanced degree
• 12 years experience in commercial insights or forecasting related field.
• Progressive business experience with emphasis on forecasting, sensitivity analytics, commercial insights, decision sciences
  Proven leadership skills.
