The Role

As a Copywriter II for Global Digital Content & Design, you will be adept at conveying compelling and effective product stories across the digital ecosystem with a focus on e-commerce on converse.com and performance marketing. We need someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative attitude. The work will be challenging, never boring, and we expect you’ll be an integral part of the creative team bringing new digital experiences and solutions to the Converse brand.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, you will be working with our product team, wholesale team, strategy, writers, and designers to craft best-in-class copy in support of the Converse Brand voice. Work will include, but is not limited to product copy for our B2B and DTC functions, with copy appearing on converse.net, converse.com and beyond.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • In collaboration Copywriting leadership, Designers & Operations team, develops and creates innovative solutions for digital product storytelling across, but not limited to, converse.com and all digital touchpoints
  • Tell compelling product stories through copy, partnering with digital designers, to tell stories for converse.com, email, paid media channels, sell-in copy, PDP and B2B copy
  • Learn about cross-functional teams; Foster and leverage relationships in product, merchandising, marketing and digital wholesale team to build a network
  • Actively gain knowledge of Converse’s products and processes, trends, the consumer and overall marketplace culture.
  • Following Converse tone of voice and copy style guides, executes seasonal global marketing campaigns for Converse.com
  • Works collaboratively with Project Mangers, Producers, Strategists, fellow Writers/Editors and Visual Designers
  • Comprehend briefs, and execute high-quality work while meeting deadlines
  • Utilizes writing skills and demonstrates innovation in creating original solutions
  • Demonstrates knowledge of current trends
  • Shares knowledge with other design staff; works with design and copy counterparts to ensure continuity across digital touchpoints

  • Creative skill set able to translate business objectives and articulate into easy-to-understand communication pieces
  • Fundamental awareness in writing in the digital and ecommerce space
  • Eagerness to practice how to socialize and present creative work to cross-functional partners and leadership
  • Ability to craft and develop digital content and storytelling with our creative consumer in mind
  • A team player with a positive, hard-working attitude, able to inspire teammates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Writing, Communications, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
  • 2+ years of writing experience in a corporate or agency environment required, preferably as a copywriter for a major brand, e-commerce company or digital design agency
  • Expert command of the English language (including spelling, grammar, punctuation)
  • Creative, bold, and digitally savvy
  • A genuine passion for digital marketing and the online space with a fundamental awareness of digital commerce, SEO writing, writing for different and multiple target audiences, and social media platforms 
  • Must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, organized, detail oriented, collaborative and flexible
  • Able to multi-task

  • Connection to streetwear culture and trend
  • Fluent in additional languages a plus, not a requirement
