Join one of our fast growing Mid-Cap teams within Global Corporate Banking in Malaysia.
As part of the Mid-Cap Segment within the Global Corporate Banking, you will be responsible for originating, developing, managing and growing relationships within public-listed and private companies / profiles with specific focus on Malaysian headquartered, promoter-driven and home-grown clients segment in Malaysia. This segment looks to support and provide traditional corporate banking offerings, solutions and products, as well as investment banking solutions to clients. You will work alongside and closely with our business partners, including product specialists ranging from Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisition, Financial Markets, Payments & Treasury Services, Credit Risk Management, and Private Banking in identifying and supporting value-adding needs, and cross-selling opportunities for the bank.
Within the scope of an Associate in the team, you will also be responsible for engaging and supporting deal teams and accountable for origination / pitch work preparation and driving execution and delivery, whilst ensuring seamless coordination among analysts, senior deal team members, and credit underwriting. As a member of the team, you will also play an integral part in helping to originate-to-developing of client relationships.
You need to have strong corporate banking, credit risk management, and transaction execution experience and skillsets.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Identify, assess, review and pursue client profiles for sales opportunities across a broad range of corporate banking and financial products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with credit underwriting team on client requirements and credit risk analysis. On the execution front, leading tasks on credit risk transactions, structuring and documentation of credit requests.
  • Manage and Provide support to the deal team towards generating continuous financing, corporate finance, payments & treasury services, financial markets and credit opportunities.
  • Work in collaboration with senior Bankers to help originate and generate new banking opportunities for both prospective and/or existing clients.
  • Comply with all regulatory and JP Morgan Chase's rules, policies, and procedures & represent our local banking practice.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skillsets:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience within Corporate & Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Financial Markets and/or Payment & Treasury Services.
  • Client coverage / relationship management experience is essential with strong skillsets in credit risk, analytical, knowledge of Corporate / Investment Banking products and execution experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving skills, individual is highly organized, detail-oriented & proactive; with outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment.
  • Highly self-motivated, and a dependable team player. Partnership and collaborative mindset are essential as work will often overlap with various stakeholders such as industry partners, product partners and investment banking teams.
  • Superior and proven skillsets in Excel and Power Point.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skillsets:
  • Completion of recognized bank credit training program and/or investment banking training program preferred.
