Who You Are:

What You Will Be Doing:
- Transforming raw glass or architectural aluminum materials into finished products.
- Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another to
expedite the production process. - Operate machinery such as automated cutting tables, CNC machinery (experience preferred waterjets, edging machines, and polishers to shape glass according to work orders.
- Measure and cut glass sheets using hand tools or computerized cutters to meet specific dimensions, often to within 1/16" or 1/8" accuracy.
- Read and interpret sketches, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine required glass types, thicknesses, and finishes attach appropriate labels to product
- Visually inspect glass for defects like chips, scratches, or bubbles, and verify dimensions using tape measures and gauges.
- Safely load, unload, and transport heavy glass panes using suction cups, cranes, or transport carts to prevent breakage.
- Perform edge work, including grinding, smoothing, and beveling, to remove sharp edges and achieve the desired aesthetic.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of shop equipment and ensure the workspace remains organized and hazard-free
- Quality inspection of glass, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
- Perform different job functions when needed.
Skills You Bring:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 1-2 years of glass or aluminum fabrication, carpentry, or a related manufacturing field.
- Requires a blend of technical precision, physical stamina, and the ability to operate specialized machinery
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to read sketches, operate cutting and polishing equipment
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
- Keen eye for detail
- ABILITY to stand for 8--10 hours and lift/move heavy glass panels up to 75lbs independently.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (heat, cold, humidity)
- Basic math and computer skills
- Committed to Safety work practices - Thorough understanding of safety protocols for handling sharp materials and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
