Position Overview
As a mid-level GIS Specialist, you will manage Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support the planning, design, construction, and handover of Qiddiya’s assets. Using ESRI-based platforms, you will deliver geospatial insights for Districts, Zones, and Precincts, ensuring data integration and compliance with project standards. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, adherence to Client systems (e.g., ESRI GIS, Aconex), and a commitment to Saudization requirements. On-site work in Qiddiya or relocation is expected.
Key Responsibilities
- GIS Management: Operate and manage the ESRI GIS platform, implementing policies, templates, and procedures for geospatial data standardization.
- Data Integration: Review and integrate consultant/contractor GIS submittals into the Client’s GIS platform, ensuring compliance and interoperability with BIM and CAD.
- Spatial Analysis: Conduct spatial analyses (e.g., modeling, geostatistics) and create maps/dashboards using ArcGIS Online/Enterprise to support decision-making.
- Quality Assurance: Validate GIS data accuracy, maintain metadata, and document workflows in Aconex, aligning with Qiddiya’s standards.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with delivery partners, design consultants, and stakeholders (e.g., Saudi Heritage Commission) for GIS-related permitting and interface management.
- Project Support: Provide GIS deliverables for master planning, regulatory approvals (e.g., CSP), and handover, supporting the Integrated Master Programme.
- System Alignment: Align GIS workflows with other delivery partners’ systems, proposing enhancements to tools like Fuzor or Autodesk Vault as needed.
- Mentorship: Guide GIS technicians and train Client staff/contractors on GIS best practices.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of GIS experience, ideally in urban development or mega-projects.
- Preferred: Expertise in ESRI platforms (ArcGIS Pro, Online, Enterprise), BIM/CAD integration, and GCC project experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical: Proficient in ESRI GIS, Python/JavaScript/SQL for automation, and database management (e.g., PostgreSQL). Skilled in cartography, spatial data formats, and BIM/CAD integration.
